Katja Patersonová

I’ve got a girl!

Katja has recently taken up like in high heels. Not that I have done anything to thwart such a liking. This was probably most eloquently expressed when I took Katja to my cousins wedding in New Jersey.

Toys for Katja

Thanks to some friends we now have a dark horse, and a horse of a different color for Katja to play with.

We took Katja to eat Phở

It is a bit funner feeding noodles to a 1-year old with chopsticks.

Earbuds

Today Katja discovered buds. In the past she has resisted anything on her head, on her ears or her eyes. But today I was about to go for a bike ride and I took advantage of the fact that she likes to music, to show her that music can come out of earbuds because she was concerned with the things in my ears.

Sing me to sleep

September 20th was our first day back. That night was our first night in our own bed in at least 53 nights. Katja didn’t sleep very soundly or very long. She was in her own room in her crib.

Visiting the telescope

Today we visited the telescopes in Greenbank, West Virginia.

Mapping Katja’s mental concepts

I know I won’t touch all the mental concepts that Katja has right now. But here are some (more noun like concepts) that I can easily remember: Beard Bird  Bath  Blueberry  Ball  Bottle Bye(-bye) Dad Mom Water for Andrew  She has some verb like categories or actions that I think are salient as well.
